Celui qui n&rsquo;a pas termin\u00e9 un heptathlon ou d\u00e9cathlon depuis 2 ans devait faire avec la forme du moment : 10.84 au 100 m, 6.92 m \u00e0 la longueur, 14.87 m au poids et 1.96 m \u00e0 la hauteur. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des candidats \u00e0 la m\u00e9daille, 10.66 pour\u00a0<strong>Simon Ehammer<\/strong>, 10.80 pour\u00a0<strong>Leo Neugebauer<\/strong> et 10.91 pour\u00a0<strong>Sander Skotheim<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Garland prend les commandes<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La longueur, chasse gard\u00e9e du Suisse\u00a0<strong>Simon Ehammer\u00a0<\/strong>(4\u00e8me de la finale il y a quelques jours), a effectivement \u00e9t\u00e9 remport\u00e9e par celui-ci. Mais le champion du monde indoor de l&rsquo;heptathlon\u00a0<strong>Sander Skotheim <\/strong>a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 la m\u00eame marque.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kyle Garland<\/strong> a pris les commandes du d\u00e9cathlon \u00e0 la longueur (7.92 m) n&rsquo;a eu de cesse d&rsquo;accroitre son avance. Il avait battu son record au <strong>poids<\/strong> lors des Trials avec 16.95 m, 18 cm de mieux que son record qui datait de 2023. Et il l&rsquo;a encore am\u00e9lior\u00e9 ce matin passant la barre des 17 m avec 17.02 m.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">La hauteur fatale \u00e0 Ehammer<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans le groupe des \u00ab\u00a0moins forts\u00a0\u00bb, l&rsquo;Allemand Neugebauer a perdu des points en s&rsquo;arr\u00eatant \u00e0 1.99 m. Le groupe est remport\u00e9 par le Baham\u00e9en\u00a0<strong>Kendrick Thompson<\/strong> en 2.02 m, nouveau record personnel. Il a fait un concours parfait puisque ses seuls \u00e9checs sont intervenus \u00e0 2.05 m apr\u00e8s avoir franchi 1.87 m, 1.93 m; 1.96 m, 1.99 m et donc 2.02 m \u00e0 son premier essai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans le groupe A,\u00a0<strong>Simone Ehammer<\/strong> a choisi de faire l&rsquo;impasse \u00e0 1.87 m et 1.90 m. Et malheureusement, il n&rsquo;a pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 passer 1.93 m. R\u00e9sultat des courses, 0 point\u00e9 et tout espoir de m\u00e9daille envol\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s sa 4\u00e8me place \u00e0 la longueur, le Suisse repart d\u00e9\u00e7u de Tokyo. 1.96 m pour Pierce Lepage. Ces deux-l\u00e0 ont abandonn\u00e9, tout comme Sven Roosen, Janek Oiglane et Till Steinforth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pour terminer la journ\u00e9e, comme lors de la premi\u00e8re \u00e9preuve, c&rsquo;est\u00a0<strong>Ayden Owens-Delerme<\/strong> qui r\u00e9alise le meilleur temps sur<strong> 400 m<\/strong>, en 46.46. 47.86 pour <strong>Sander Skotheim<\/strong>. Le Norv\u00e9gien (2\u00e8me, -164 points)\u00a0 conserve sa place et grappille des points tandis que le Portoricain grimpe ainsi sur le podium (-220 points), rel\u00e9guant Leo Neugebauer \u00e0 la 4\u00e8me place (-252 points). <strong>Kyle Garland\u00a0<\/strong>domine toujours le classement avec ses 4707 points.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Makenson Gletty en retrait<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Malheureusement pour lui,\u00a0<strong>Makenson Gletty\u00a0<\/strong>a connu un r\u00e9veil difficile. 10.92 au 100 m, 6.98 \u00e0 la longueur et 15.31 m au poids : bien loin de ses records personnels ou m\u00eame de ses meilleures performances de la saison. Apr\u00e8s un 100 m moyen, il a connu une frayeur \u00e0 la longueur. Deux essais manqu\u00e9s et son d\u00e9cathlon mondial pouvait d\u00e9j\u00e0 s&rsquo;en terminer l\u00e0. Heureusement, il a assur\u00e9 son troisi\u00e8me essai mais ne se contentant ainsi que de 6.98 m, lui qui a un record \u00e0 7.59 m et s&rsquo;\u00e9tait envol\u00e9 \u00e0 7.24 m aux Championnats de France. Au\u00a0<strong>lancer du poids<\/strong> c&rsquo;est \u00e9galement une d\u00e9ception par rapport \u00e0 son record personnel mais dans les eaux de ce qu&rsquo;il a fait cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le Fran\u00e7ais qui a un record \u00e0 2.05 m a franchi 1.93 m \u00e0 son deuxi\u00e8me essai puis 1.96 m avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre stopp\u00e9 \u00e0 1.99 m. Son calvaire a continu\u00e9 au 400 m qu&rsquo;il termine \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re place de sa s\u00e9rie en 50.49. Il est <strong>15\u00e8me<\/strong> \u00e0 l&rsquo;issue de la premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Une premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e satisfaisante pour Antoine Ferranti<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Antoine Ferranti<\/strong>, m\u00e9daill\u00e9 de bronze aux Championnats d&rsquo;Europe U23 cette ann\u00e9e, participait \u00e0 sa premi\u00e8re grande comp\u00e9tition mondiale. Apr\u00e8s 11.19 au 100 m, il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 un bon concours de longueur avec 7.23 m \u00e0 son dernier essai. \u00c0 4 cm de son record personnel \u00e9tabli cette ann\u00e9e. Au poids, il a lanc\u00e9 \u00e0 13.60 m. Dans la deuxi\u00e8me s\u00e9rie du <strong>400 m<\/strong>, il a talonn\u00e9 l&rsquo;Am\u00e9ricain Heath Baldwin. S&rsquo;il termine finalement derri\u00e8re lui, il bat son <strong>record personnel<\/strong> en 48.64, 12 centi\u00e8mes de mieux que son temps de juin.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:
